[EP. 14] 6 Tricks to make you more confident

I do believe myself a capable person with sufficient skills to cope with everything related to my job. However, it’s really uncomfortable while people told me to be more confident, although it happened rarely in my life. I admit that sometimes I feel nervous when speaking in public, and feel shy when talking to a stranger.

Do you sometimes afraid of taking action even you are so eager to achieve something? Do you doubt yourself, even other people think you are capable of the tasks? What you and I lack is confidence. Here are 6 tips to increase self-confidence, try it out!!

1. Praise yourself before going to bed

“Well done today. Celia! you are the best!” “The project was too difficult to finish by limited time, but you still made it almost finished! Good job!” Try to praise yourself 3 things just before going to bed. The effect is something like hypnosis that the words you told yourself will be implanted into your brain while sleeping to make yourself believe you are really as good as the words described.

2.Train yourself in strain

If you feel uneasy to speak in public, try to express your thoughts in a small scale meeting, like a company routine meeting. It’s OK to feel nervous at the beginning, but you will get used to it. By doing something which makes you feel a little stressful will increase your confidence day by day. Eventually, you will be able to express yourself naturally in a Big occasion.

3.Clean up your room

The environment where you live affects many aspects. Clean up your room will make you feel much confident. Doubt about it? Well, why not try and see what happened? I personally recommend this method.

4.Read Frederick Salomon Perls’s quote once a day

This helps you be aware of the fact that each person is different and independent from others, to lower your stress by being able to live your own way.

I do my thing and you do your thing. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, And you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it’s beautiful. If not, it can’t be helped.

5.Limited social media access

You know what I mean. Just allow yourself to use Facebook, IG, etc, twice a day, and each time only 30nminutes, for example.

6.Behave positively

Pretend to be true. Behaving yourself in a confident posture will make you believe you are really full of confidence. And brace to take action.

I’ve been trying to remind myself of those tips when I lack self-confidence in certain situations. It helps! You may like to try it out.

I chose 2mm tiny small pearls, they are not perfect round shape but I like the natural un-even shape. As for 14Kgf bead, I used 2mm and 3mm in different places for outstanding the overall beauty.
